Title: Programmer Analyst - Financial Applications (Aderant, .NET / SQL)

Location: Remote (Candidates must reside in California, Texas, New York, Virginia, or Maryland)
Salary Range: $81,000 - $128,500 (Dependent on location) Compensation varies based on geographic location, experience, and skill alignment.

Summary
This position serves as a primary technical partner to Finance, providing application-level support and enhancement for Aderant-based financial systems. The Programmer Analyst focuses on troubleshooting, configuration, and targeted development within a Microsoft/.NET environment, ensuring finance applications remain stable, responsive, and aligned with business needs. The role blends hands-on support with UI-level development, reporting, and automation, while contributing to long-term modernization initiatives including future cloud migration and data platform enhancements.

Responsibilities
Aderant & Financial Systems Support
Act as a key technical resource supporting Aderant financial systems, including configuration, reporting, and integrations.
Partner closely with Finance and Accounting teams to resolve system issues impacting billing, invoicing, collections, cash application, and rate management.
Troubleshoot and resolve application-level issues, defects, and data inconsistencies.
Support ongoing system configuration changes and functional enhancements driven by finance requirements.

Application Development & Enhancement
Design and support .NET-based applications using C#, Visual Basic, and Microsoft development frameworks.
Develop targeted UI enhancements and minor functional updates to existing financial applications.
Build and maintain SQL queries, views, and stored procedures supporting application logic and financial reporting.
Use PowerShell scripting to automate operational tasks, improve system reliability, and support application maintenance.
Develop workflow automation and reporting solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI).
Support and enhance integrations between Aderant and third-party systems.

Testing, Stability & Continuous Improvement
Perform testing for system enhancements, configuration changes, and integration updates.
Monitor application performance and respond to issues to maintain system stability.
Document application configurations, support procedures, and technical changes.
Participate in future initiatives such as cloud migration of financial platforms and data architecture improvements as part of a broader technical team.

Required / Preferred Technical Skills
Experience supporting Aderant financial systems (Design Studio, Classic, Framework, or related components preferred).
Strong experience with .NET development (C#, Visual Basic).
Solid working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Experience using PowerShell for automation and application support tasks.
Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI).
Exposure to SSRS, ETL tools (SSIS or Alteryx), and enterprise reporting environments is a plus.
Experience in professional services or finance-driven application environments preferred.
